Is your son or daughter about to graduate from high school? You might be having a hard time with that. You might be feeling a bit melancholy about the fact that your little boy or your little girl grew up too fast. On the other hand, you are more than likely excited to know that there are more adventures for your child as he or she graduates. Have you already bought his or her graduation gift?

If so, you were probably happy to check that off your to-do list. If you still haven't bought the gift, from selecting a watch to giving your child a sentimental gift, here are some ideas that might help you.

Buy A Good Quality Watch - Has your son or daughter been using a cell phone to check the time? Or maybe he or she has been wearing an inexpensive watch that he or she has worn for a long time. Don't you think that a high quality watch would be a significant gift? Buying a more expensive and important watch will show your child that you trust him or her with something of great value.

If you do decide to purchase a watch, consider the types of watches that would be best for him or her. For example, if your child is going into the military to make that his other lifetime career, a sturdy watch that will withstand water well would probably be a good choice. If your child is going onto college or to a workplace, consider buying a watch that has a timer on it so that he or she can have reminders of when to wake up and what needs to be done during the day.

A Sentimental Gift - Perhaps you are on a tight budget and you can't afford something like a good quality watch. If that's the case, have you considered giving your graduate a sentimental gift that will be valued more and more as time passes? For example, consider making a quilt out of T-shrits that you have saved over the years. Maybe you saved T-shrits from the time your child was in kindergarten and maybe you even have T-shirts from camp or church events. Include them, too. That quilt will certainly bring back memories, won't it?

Another idea is to create a photograph album that includes pictures from the time your child was born until present time. Think of writing significant things next to each picture. For example if there is a picture of your child with his or her grandparents, write the approximate date and the place that picture was taken. A company like, Casa D'oro, can help.
